Bennett County sophomore Rush O’Neill shattered the Bennett County High School high jump record last Friday in Spearfish with his meet winning jump of 6’10.” O’Neill broke the record set by his uncle Corbin Kratovil in 2007 of 6’6.

Warriors run past Coyotes 32-13

The Bennett County Warriors kicked off the new high school football season with a 32-12 win over Jones County last Friday in Martin. The game was much closer than the score would indicate as both teams played fairly even until late in the game when the Warriors pulled away.

American Legion Post 240 brings home 3rd place

The American Legion Post 240 Baseball team traveled to Groton this past weekend to compete in the South Dakota American Legion State B Jr. Tournament.These young boys had a great tournament beating Groton on their home field 10-4 on Friday.

Warriors drop ball game to Gregory

BC boys season ends at hands of third rated Pine Ridge

By Tim Huether The Bennett County Warriors boys basketball team faced a tall task last Tuesday in Pine Ridge, taking on the state’s number three rated Pine Ridge Thorpes in the first round of Region 7A playoffs. Pine Ridge lived up to their rating with an 87-36 win, improving to 19-1 on the season.
