Bennett County High School senior, Paige Turpin, has received the Daughters of American Revolution’s Good Citizenship Award/ Scholarship from the Harney Peak Chapter for demonstrating the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism.

Rylea Poor Bear movie fund raiser in Gordon

There will be a special showing of the movie Ordinary Angels at the Gordon Theater next Thursday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. that is free a free will donation admission with the proceeds going to family of Rylea Poor Bear of Allen.

City approves Malt Beverage License for Martin Tire

The Martin City Council approved a Malt Beverage License for Martin Tire at their Feb. 14, monthly meeting.Prior to the approval, City Attorney Sara Frankenstein said since there is an available license, you can’t deny a liquor license simply because other businesses don’t want them to have it.
