In acknowledgement of the importance of the ongoing fight against cardiovascular disease, the Congress, by Joint Resolution approved in December 30, 1963, as amended (36 U.S.C. 101), has requested that the President issue an annual proclamation designating February as “American Heart Month.

Bennett County Hospital CEO Michael Christensen has resigned from the facility, notifying the staff and board of his decision recently.“I have accepted a new role outside of South Dakota, and my last day with BCH will be Saturday, February 17, 2024,” said Christensen.
