Meals on Wheels program in Bennett County may end

By Tim Huether The Meals on Wheels program in Bennett County is in jeopardy of shutting down if adequate funding is not secured for the program, according to George Larson, Executive Director for the Western South Dakota Senior Services, Inc., Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota.

Acalymics! Students v. Parents

By Jacob Waln The Bennett County Middle School will host an Acalymics students v. parents. The idea is to have parents and students come make teams and compete against each other. The event is open to the public and will be hosted Thursday, February 29 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Little Gym.

Pine Ridge Man Sentenced to 45 Years in Federal Prison

United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today that Chief Judge Roberto A. Lange has sentenced a Pine Ridge, South Dakota, man convicted of Second-Degree Murder, Robbery, Carjacking, and Brandishing a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. The sentencing took place on February 6, 2024.
