Bennett County places 12 at state

It was a great weekend to be a Warrior! The Bennett County youth wrestlers worked hard at the State AAU Meet this past weekend in Rapid City and brought home Girls Tots 46Avery Toczek placed 3rd and scored 22.5 team points.Champ.

Cooler weather in store

The warm temperatures are taking a break for a few days after a predicted high of 63 for this Thursday. Look for highs in the 30s Friday through next Tuesday as things cool down.Slightly warmer air moves in March 27 with highs in the low to mid-40s through April 1.

By Tim Huether The Bennett County Commissioners moved to hire Linay Johnston as Bennett County deputy auditor at their March 6, regular board meeting. Johnston is the current county assessor and will split her time between the two jobs for now.

Zack Soderlin, wrestling for Rapid City Central, won the South Dakota High School Class A 157 lb. weight class at the State A Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls.Zach dominated his class at the tournament, soundly defeating Chandler Carda of West Central by tech fall, 150, in the finals.
