Bennett County started slow but stepped on the gas in the second half to outlast the Kadoka Kougars 26-22 in Kadoka Sept. 12.
The game started out as a defensive battle as Kadoka stopped Bennett County at mid-field on a fourth and six play, then the Warriors stopped the Kougars on a fourth and three at the 28 of Bennett County.
After the Warriors were forced to punt, the Kougars drove to the 15 of Bennett County but the Warriors defense again shut the door on a fourth down play.
