By Coach Brent Ireland The BCHS wrestling team traveled to Presho on Friday for a series of duals. The boys went 2-1 with wins against Lyman (48-18) and Marion/ Freeman (33-27), but we gave up too many forfeits against Groton Area and lost 36-41 (we actually won 4 of the 6 matches wrestled!). The girls went 2-0 beating Doland 18-12 and Groton Area 24-4. Those results suggest if we had a few less open weight classes both programs we would be pretty tough to beat!
On Saturday both teams competed in the Big Dakota Conference Tournament in Ft. Pierre. Even though we were missing two starters, the boys placed 6th out of 20 teams. The girls placed 8th out of 19 teams.
