Denton Good claims first CFD title:

By Matt Atencio WyoSports CHEYENNE – Denton Good has grown up around the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. When he was a kid, Good would practice steer wrestling with a training dummy from an ATV, and one of the places he practiced was Cheyenne.

Danté Rascher competed at 2024 National 4-H Shooting Sports

By Kathy Rayhill The 2024 National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship was held in Grand Island, Nebraska June 23-28. Dante Rascher, a Bennett County 4-H member, qualified to be on the Small Bore Pistol Team representing South Dakota.

Fr. Dillon finds his roots in area small towns

By Tim Huether Catholic parishes in the area have a new priest behind the alter with Fr. Jonathan Dillon taking over the duties of serving several parishes on July 1.He replaces Fr. Tyler Dennis who has been assigned to Canon Law studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Hwy work in progress on Hwy 18

The South Dakota Dept. of Transportation is in the process of road maintenance projects in the area with a three mile chip and seal on Hwy 18 that started on Monday at Vetal, according to Brad Norrid, Engineering Supervisor out of Winner.
