Home versus Car provides a rude awakening

Body

Early in the morning on Saturday, February 10, around 2 a.m., a car slammed into the residence of Noma Sazama at 107 5th Ave.

It hit the house twice. After striking the southwest corner of the house, it spun and hit the house a second time, propelling a door off its hinges and to the ground. The car parked itself in the garden.

Thankfully, Noma was not injured. The owner of the home, Barb Kuxhaus, was able to move her mother to other lodgings for the remainder of the night while Scott and Carrie Larson worked to re-enclose the structure.

Martin City Police are investigating.

The Booster contacted the Martin City Police Department for more info and did not hear back by press time.
