Two very competitive Beef Quiz Bowl Teams competed for the championship title on August 8th after the Beef Show at the Bennett County Fair. Team A – Novotny Team consisted of Alison Novotny as captain with team members Josie Tish, Louis Novotny, and Wyatt Huber. Team B – Harris Team consisted of members Rhyder Harris (captain), Jace Harris, Sadie Schomp and Wesley Trantham.
Since there were only two teams participating the contest consisted of the best two out of three rounds. In Round One the Novotny Team beat the Harris Team 120 to 100. Round Two was more challenging and its believed the Harris Team took that round after much deliberation. In Round Three the Harris Team took won 70 to 55 taking top honors. Top individual getting the most questions right were Ryder Harris for the Harris Team and Wyatt Huber for the Novotny Team.
