Bennett County started the season off with a loss to St. Thomas More Saturday in Martin, falling 25-9,25-22 and 25-16. More was steady in the opening game while Bennett County made many mistakes, struggling with their serving and digs as More made it look easy in game one. Bennett County settled down a little and made game two a close one before losing by three points. In the third game, Bennett County was out-playing the Lady Cavaliers, leading 14-12, before collapsing and allowing the visitors to score 13 of the games final 15 points for the win.
