»Lady Warriors shoot down Rangers

Bennett County hosted Hill City last Friday evening in high school girls basketball play and the hosts shot down the Rangers, 58-34.
Brooke Bair scored a season high 14 points to lead the Warriors. Freshman Taryn Lessert had a big night with 11 points. Bennett County knocked down five three pointers with Bair and Lessert making a pair and Megan Slattery one.
Bennett County led from start to finish, taking a 16-10 lead after one quarter, then extending it 19 at the half with a 33-14 score. It was 48-22 after three and the Lady Warriors cruised to their fourth win of the season with a 58-34 score.
Scoring for Bennett County: Brooke Bair 14, Taryn Lessert 11, Harriet Standing Soldier 9, Abbie Alexander 7, Tania Risse 7, Laura Hodson 4, Megan Slattery 3, Kaitlyn Rayhill 2, Rayel Livermont 1.
Bennett County hosted Little Wound Tuesday night and will host Cheyenne Eagle Butte on Thursday in a makeup game, with the B game tipoff set for 4 p.m.
