It was the defense once again that sparked the Lady Warriors to a win, this time a road victory over Philip Saturday evening.
Bennett County allowed just two first quarter points and seven in the second as they put up 11 and 13 in their first two quarters for a 24-9 halftime lead.
It was 41-19 heading to the final quarter and the Warriors coasted home from there for the 43-30 win.
Harriet Standing Soldier led the Lady Warriors with 13 points, nine from behind the three point line. Laura Hodson and Tania Risse tossed in 7 points each, Abbie Alexander 6, Kaitlyn Rayhill 4, Brooke Bair 3, and Rebecca Vander May 3.
Josie Guptill led Philip with 10.
Bennett County won the JV game, 23-12. Bobbi Standing Soldier scored 9 points to lead the way. Rayel Livermont put in 6, Megan Slattery 4, Rebecca Vander May 2 and Kalee Kratovil 2.
Bennett County will face St. Thomas More Friday in Rapid City.
