Bennett County’s Bo Johnson shot a 97 for 16th place at the Region 4A Golf meet at Hart Ranch on Sept. 27, qualifying him for the state meet in Rapid City at the Hart Ranch, Oct. 4-5.
There were 10 schools in the region meet with 50 golfers.
The top 28 go to state on the 4-5 of Oct.

Red Cloud shot past the field last Friday to claim the Bennett County Invite and West River Conference Golf Tournament in Martin with a team score of 322. St. Francis was a distant second with a 364, followed by Bennett County at 375 and Todd County at 381.
Medalist honors went to Red Cloud’s Dallas Greenwald, carding a 74. Red Cloud claimed the next two spots with Colton Sierra shooting 80 and Tristen Long 80.

The remaining top were; Lee Long of Todd County at 86; Brent Herman of Red Cloud, 87; Joe Keith of Pine Ridge, 88; Baptiste Blue Thunder of St. Francis, 88; Austin Brave of St. Francis, 89; Austin Prue of St. Francis, 91.
Derrick Rous finished just outside the top ten with an 11th place 91, carding a good 43 on the final nine holes for Bennett County.
Sage Alexander shot a 99 over the 18 holes for Bennett County. After a 55 on the front nine, he shot a solid 44 on the back nine to finish the day strong at 15th.
Bennett County’s other scores included: Joel Pauly, 102; Bryce Fuchs, 104; Seth Ireland, 105.
In JV play, Caleb Kratovil out-shot the field with a 56 on nine holes. Jesse Gregg shot a 62 and Eric Kiefer a 66. Ben Pisha had a circle 10 and a score of 63.
